Applying to Recover a Deposit Due to an Unfilled/Incorrectly Filled Memo/Tag

What does it mean to have an unfilled/incorrectly filled Memo/Tag on a deposit?

A Memo or Tag is an additional address feature required to identify the recipient of a transaction outside of the wallet address. For certain cryptocurrencies such as XLM, XRP, ATOM, EOS, TON, etc., it is necessary to input the corresponding Memo/Tag information in order to effectively carry out the transfer.
At MEXC, for cryptos that require filling in a deposit Memo/Tag, all accounts share the same deposit wallet address, such as XRP, TON, etc. Therefore, traders must input the correct deposit tag to ensure their assets are successfully deposited.

Case A: User incorrectly wrote "Send" in the Memo/Tag field of a TON deposit.

Case B: TON deposit with no Memo/Tag (nothing written in the message field)

What should I do?

If you have made a transfer but forgot or incorrectly filled in the Memo/Tag/identifier, you can apply to recover your assets by filling out the Uncredited Deposit Return Application form.

Deposit Information Form:

  • Deposited Crypto: Please enter the token name as displayed on the block explorer.
  • Deposit Network/Address: Please enter the network and address information as shown on the block explorer. The deposit address may also be referred to as "to address," "Destination address," or "Receiver" in similar expressions. If the deposit address includes a Memo/Tag identifier, please fill it in using the "address:Memo" format (e.g., mxcexdeposit:12xx34).
  • Deposit Amount: Please enter the deposit amount as displayed on the block explorer (up to 41 characters, 22 integer digits + 18 decimal digits). The deposit amount you enter is for reference only. Customer service will process the deposit based on the actual deposit amount according to the TxID, and the final processing result shall prevail.
  • Deposit TxID: The TxID/TxHash is the unique identification proof of this deposit on the blockchain. You can view and copy this TxID string from the withdrawal record on the withdrawal platform or wallet.

  1. TONCOIN Network TxID Filling Method: If your original transfer TxID contains special characters that prevent you from submitting the Uncredited Deposit Return Application form, please follow the steps below to copy and submit the correct TxID.

  • Copy the [Tx hash] and paste it into the deposit TxID field to submit.
